Job Description
We’re currently looking for a Risk Analyst to work with investment desks and consumers of risk analytics data to contribute to the risk analytics delivery to the business and drive the discussion between the business, its vendors, and partners. This position is initially a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
The L&G Asset Management Analytics Solutions team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a firm-wide strategic source for instrument, portfolio, and client-level risk analytics.
What you'll be doing:
1. Working with investment desks and consumers of risk analytics data to contribute to the risk analytics delivery and drive the discussion between the business, its vendors, and partners
2. Building an understanding of LGIM's current analytics capabilities and solutions; how they are used by various business functions
3. Defining a new suite of risk solutions by utilising internal and external solutions
4. Working with business users, vendors, and internal IT and Data Teams to evolve the risk analytics product and production framework
5. Analysing and testing market risk analytics/reports for the LGIM funds
6. Collaborating in the implementation of a new risk platform
Qualifications - Who we're looking for:
1. Relevant experience in risk management, analytical or quantitative functions, or equivalent
2. Ability to drill into analysis to ensure a thorough understanding of the problem and proposed solution
3. Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with subject matter experts
4. Knowledge of VaR, volatility, sensitivities, scenario analysis, and risk limits
5. Experience with SQL, Python, and/or APIs (RESTful)
6. Experience working with 3rd party risk engines such as Axioma Risk, Bloomberg Port, or others (advantageous)
7. Experience with the State Street suite of products (advantageous)
8. Ability to work with users to define requirements/solutions
