This role is ideal for someone with resilience, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students who may present challenging behaviours. You will play a key role in creating a supportive and structured environment that encourages learning and wellbeing. Main Responsibilities of a Behaviour Support : Support students with behavioural, social, and emotional needs in the classroom and wider school environment. Work closely with teachers to implement tailored strategies that promote positive behaviour. Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students develop coping skills and self-regulation. Monitor behaviour and progress, offering constructive feedback and encouragement. Build strong relationships with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to support. Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion across the school. Skills & Requirements: Experience working with young people, ideally in a behaviour support or pastoral role. Strong understanding of behaviour management and safeguarding practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to remain calm, patient, and solution-focused in challenging situations. Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, youth work, or a related field are desirable.
