We are looking for a Principal Medical Writer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for:
* Developing an in-depth scientific knowledge of allocated accounts and using this to shape the communications for our clients’ brands
* Taking the lead on scientific discussions with medics and external experts, proactively making suggestions that are valued by the client
* Developing content for a full range of projects and taking wider responsibility for work on allocated accounts by overseeing, briefing and reviewing the work of other writers
* Contributing to the scientific strategy and ensuring messaging and content are aligned with the overall brand strategy
* Collaborating with internal colleagues, including account managers, creatives, editors and medical strategists, to ensure the seamless delivery of projects
* Sharing knowledge and expertise, as well as providing expert advice and guidance on brands and therapy areas to internal stakeholders
* Staying updated on industry trends, guidelines and best practices to inform and enhance the quality of our medical writing
* Contributing to business growth by proactively identifying opportunities, attending pitches and contributing to written proposals
With a deep interest in science and medical communications, we believe someone with the following experience could be a good match for this role:
* An undergraduate degree in a relevant science (essential) or a postgraduate qualification or PhD (desirable)
* Proven experience in medical writing within a medical communications agency or similar environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
