The Lodge, which is located next to BaptistCare Kintyre Retirement Village, offers 24-hour care. As the Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will deliver advanced clinical assessment and support to residents while providing strong clinical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Registered Nurses within the Aged Care Home. Drawing on your expertise, leadership abilities, and effective communication skills, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high‑quality clinical care. With a deep understanding of best‑practice clinical standards, you will lead, motivate, and educate care teams to drive continuous improvement across the home. This role also provides the opportunity to develop specialist expertise in areas such as palliative care or dementia care, while maintaining a broad and comprehensive clinical practice. Key Requirements Essential Qualifications and Experience: Registered Nurse with post-registration qualification relevant to aged care. 12 months working in the clinical area of the qualification or in aged care. Demonstrated clinical leadership. Demonstrated understanding and application of adult learning principles. Essential Competencies: Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards. Understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare’s Christian identity and promotion of the organisation’s values through interactions at work. Desirable Qualifications, Competencies, and Experiences: Clinical leadership in an aged care setting. Three or more years' experience in Aged Care. Other Important Information: Weekend work may be required. This position description and your letter of offer outline the terms and conditions of your employment. Completion of all prescribed mandatory training and participation in an annual plan and appraisal development process. Undergo a Police Background Check, and if relevant, an NDIS check.
