Job Title: Sub Agent
The Sub Agent will be based on our Flood Alleviation Scheme, valued at over £25m, involving piling, RC works, earthworks, and civils. The role has overall responsibility for a specific site, typically a large-scale project, and acts as the construction leader on-site. The Sub Agent manages the day-to-day supervision of the construction site, monitors site preparation prior to project launch, and oversees safe and efficient operations throughout the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Participate in developing the initial programme and monitor weekly targets.
2. Plan and oversee site setup, ensuring facilities are ready before project start.
3. Manage relationships with subcontractors onsite.
4. Ensure adherence to HSEQS protocols at all times.
5. Maintain quality control procedures.
6. Ensure TWR is current and in place.
7. Monitor onsite energy and waste data.
8. Implement and oversee an effective registration system for personnel entry and exit.
9. Flag issues impacting project delivery to Contract Management/Commercial Teams (materials, schedules, resources, H&S, costs).
10. Drive project pace and plan fieldwork.
11. Coordinate and prioritize site activities.
12. Manage a team of foremen and site staff.
13. Demonstrate strong people management skills.
14. Possess knowledge of industrial relations practices.
15. Handle conflicting priorities and difficult stakeholders, especially subcontractors.
16. Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, adapting style as needed.
17. Build consensus among team members.
18. Have extensive experience managing subcontractor supervision across various projects.
19. Have over ten years of sectoral project experience, leading medium to large-scale projects.
20. Flood/Water experience is desirable.
21. Possess a trade or technical background.
22. Hold IOSH or equivalent H&S management training.
23. Be trained in Temporary Works & Excavation Safety, Permitting for live energy works, Working at Heights & Scaffolding, Lifting & Cranage operations, and other site-specific HSEQS protocols.
24. Be familiar with new construction technologies and BIM strategies.
