My client, a leading regional legal practice, is looking to recruit a Senior Associate (ideally 5-10 years PQE) to join their growing Development team, focusing on Strategic Land Development. The firm generates significant opportunities from regional and national landowners/property developers and seeks an experienced solicitor with a strong background in Strategic Land Development (Option and/or Promotion agreements) and an established reputation in this field, who will bring connections with agencies.
This is a great opportunity to grow a practice/business in Strategic Land Development across the UK.
Job responsibilities:
1. Manage own caseload, meeting deadlines;
2. Assist Partners on complex, high-value matters;
3. Retain good clients through effective management and service delivery;
4. Scope and price new instructions appropriately, with good financial management;
5. Provide clients with accurate, up-to-date legal advice tailored to their circumstances, offering value for money;
6. Contribute to the team’s business plan and deliver assigned activities;
7. Develop relationships with peers across the firm;
8. Support business development and marketing efforts, attend conferences;
9. Manage direct reports as the team expands.
Person Specification:
1. Proven technical experience in Strategic Land Development;
2. Adaptable, enthusiastic, flexible, able to work under pressure individually and in a team;
3. Collaborate effectively with colleagues;
4. Prioritize client satisfaction with timely, cost-effective service;
5. Communicate effectively at all levels;
6. Strong commercial acumen and a desire to grow with the firm.
