As demand for their solutions is increasing, they require a 'Technical Sales Manager - Pneumatic Conveying Systems / Dust & Fume Control' to work within their fast‑paced team.


Technical Sales Manager Package, Hours and Benefits

* £50,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience
* A sales incentive bonus scheme for “above target sales”

Technical Sales Manager Role Overview

This is an engineering‑led solution sales and capital equipment Technical Sales Manager role. You will be required to design and sell pneumatic conveying systems, waste & trim conveying systems, dust and fume conveying systems, air‑based material separation solutions for the recycling industry and all related products on behalf of the company.


Essential Experience, Skills & Attributes

* Currently in a sales engineering, capital equipment sales or technical sales role.
* Experience in pneumatic conveying systems, dust control solutions and their industrial application.
* A system design knowledge including sizing ductwork, working out air flows, carrying out ductwork pressure loss calculations and similar related design tasks.
* A good understanding of or willingness to achieve relevant applicable directives such as COSHH regulations/HSG258, BOHS P600 & P602.
* A natural ability for problem solving, using logical and methodical approaches.
* Mechanical Engineering Qualification HNC/HND or similar.
* Highly desirable to read & use AutoCAD or 3D drawing software.


Technical Sales Manager Key Responsibilities - but not limited to

* Full ownership of sales pipeline development, opportunity management and progression to order.
* Commercial responsibility for pricing, margin protection and contract negotiation within agreed authority levels.
* Accurate sales forecasting and reporting in line with company processes and management expectations.
* Successfully integrate into and enhance the existing sales team.
* Visit customer premises, conduct face‑to‑face meetings, carry out field assessment and site measurements required to prepare quotations and present the solution to secure orders.
* Complete conceptual designs, calculations, sizing and selection of equipment & components and also establish the selling value of the solution.
* Work with specialist subcontractors and equipment suppliers.
* Prepare detailed written technical proposals & present to the customer.
* Effective handover of secured projects to the project delivery team.
