Overview
Personal Tax Manager — Beaconsfield. Excellent salary and benefits. A Beaconsfield based firm of chartered accountants is looking to add an experienced and driven Personal Tax Manager to their team.
You will work closely with the Senior Tax Manager and Partners to ensure the efficient provision of a range of technical services to a variety of prestigious clients based across the UK. You will form an integral part of the personal tax team and will be responsible for managing your own client portfolio, overseeing Tax Seniors and Trainees, reviewing their work and providing support and guidance as necessary.
Responsibilities
* Manage and service your own private client portfolio, primarily delivering self-assessment tax returns and advising as needed; bill and manage work in progress.
* Manage more junior members of the team to deliver on your portfolio.
* Take responsibility for departmental initiatives and programmes while supervising, training and developing the team.
* Possible line management of more junior staff.
* Ensure tax department administration is up to date and routine administration is completed in a timely manner.
* Liaise and communicate with other departments, clients and partners.
* Identify cross-selling opportunities to partners through networking.
* Support Tax Partner and contribute to departmental initiatives and programmes.
* Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge.
* Involvement in the marketing of the tax service line by attending client functions and seminars.
* Review complex client tax returns.
Qualifications & Skills
* ATT Qualified or CTA Qualified with 5+ years’ experience, ideally.
* Strong Personal Tax experience within a practice environment is essential.
