Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Degree/Higher National Diploma, in Building Studies, M&E or similar related discipline.
Desirable criteria
2. Corporate member of an Institute --- RIBA, RICS, IEE, IIE, CIOB, CIBSE etc. Management NVQ4/5 AP in services or willingness to become an AP Prince 2
Experience
Essential criteria
3. post qualification experience, or equivalent pre-qualification experience.
Desirable criteria
4. Working with NHS capital procurement. Experience working in an Acute hospital environment
5. Undertaking design work in a hospital environment
Technical
Essential criteria
6. AutoCAD proficient.
7. Design skills in given discipline
Desirable criteria
8. Building design software packages
9. Microsoft project specifically
10. Health and safety standards in relation to Building and Construction
Knowledge
Essential criteria
11. Knowledge of Building Contracts. NEC
12. Knowledge and practical experience to complete building projects of varying values.
13. Good Knowledge of Healthcare guidance, HTMs, HBNs and others industry specific guidance
Leadership
Essential criteria
14. Ability to work as an individual or as a team member. Adaptable and imaginative
Desirable criteria
15. Lead on the issues that may affect a clinical environment and ensure that all relevant services are aware. Lead at meetings i.e. Design Teams and User Groups and chair where necessary
