Zayo is seeking a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for general ledger, budget functions, process improvements, and other special projects as needed.
Responsibilities:
* Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts
* Prepares various financial reports by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger and other systems
* Prepares and presents actual vs budget reporting for executive management
* Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes; assists with automating and streamlining processes
* Responsible for keeping accurate accounting records and files for all areas of responsibility
* Assist with the annual audit; including working directly with outside auditors to expedite process, provide documentation, and answer questions as needed
* Other projects and ad hoc reporting as assigned

Qualifications:
* At least 7 years experience in Accounting or Finance field
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
* Experience with MS Office, including a high level of proficiency in Excel. NetSuite experience, a plus
* Detail-oriented and motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to work well in a team setting and possess excellent customer service and communication skills
Language Skills:
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures
* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Reasoning Ability:
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
