Job Description:
Crown Oil Environmental is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Fuel Tank System Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team.
This role involves working on customers' premises and Crown Group's Estates, focusing on the electrical aspects of fuel storage and delivery systems. Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems within fuel tanks and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct site visits with engineers in fuel-related projects.
* Design and modify electrical schematics for fuel tanks, ensuring safety and performance standards are met.
* Select electrical components like sensors, wiring, and control systems.
* Integrate electrical systems with fuel system components such as pumps and monitoring systems.
* Test and validate electrical systems for functionality and safety.
* Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues to minimize downtime.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Working Conditions:
* 50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with efforts to keep work local on Fridays.
* 25 days of paid holiday plus Bank Holidays.
* Company van provided, with optional personal use and fuel (taxed accordingly).
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
* BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).
* Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
* Experience with Risk Assessment & Method Statements (RAMS) and conducting on-site RAMS.
* Ability to work as part of a team and willingness to travel.
* Problem-solving skills and proactive attitude.
* Dependability and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications:
* SPA certification.
* CSCS card.
* Experience working at heights and in confined spaces with high-risk training.
* Asbestos awareness and mechanical aptitude.
* Experience with forecourt/fuel systems, SSSTS or CITB certifications.
* Ex-CompEx certification.
