Hilary Thomas Dance provides classes in ballet, acrobatic arts, contemporary, jazz & lyrical, and tap dance. We have a small theatre facility and three rooms at Ferring Village Hall. We are looking for a teacher from mid June for Wednesday and Thursday evenings and a couple of hours Saturday or Sundays. This is to teach our Jazz & Lyrical or theatre modern classes and our fledgling competition Squad class, choreograph group and solos etc. with the option of adding other disciplines if qualified. (timetable will be reviewed over the summer.)
Duties
- Plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of individual students
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students in the learning process
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback, and supporting children the the exam process
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
Qualifications
- Must have Teaching Certification to minimum Level 4, level 5 preferred.
- Strong knowledge of competitions and choreography
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline
- Patience, flexibility, and adaptability in working with diverse student populations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Hourly rate from £22 - £26 per hours plus depending on experience and qualifications.
