The Surgical Account Manager is a technical sales role with a strong clinical input aimed at driving the NPWT and Surgical dressing business growth for convatec. Our aim is to develop and maintain credible & enviable relationships with key customers within target accounts and to increase sales and market share for convatec. The role requires a high level of commercial acumen linked to clinical credibility and an ability to work both cross functionally and independently to win business and strengthen convatec’s profile with key customers. Territory: North East, Yorkshire & East Midlands ABOUT THE ROLE: • Achieve agreed objectives and sales targets as outlined within defined territory • Within allocated geographical region, interact and promote products to key customers and stakeholders in secondary care. Taking the lead in managing the Specialty customer. • Manage territory through the development of comprehensive business plans. Focus on highest return/value opportunities to grow and develop new business including taking competitor share and the adoption of new technologies whilst maintaining key customers and core business. • Manage and develop accounts and own the relationship between the Company and the customer, ensuring efficient alignment of all efforts to maximize impact of all activities driving growth. • Champion the NPWT and Surgical portfolio with all stakeholders • Be competent and experienced in the operating theatre environment in supporting and training teams in the safe and effective use of our products • Run training sessions/clinical meetings to position NPWT and Surgical portfolio to optimise ‘best practice’ in surgical wound management to drive and support product implementation across Acute Surgical care settings • Maintain and hold relevant MIA accreditation and full credentialing cover relevant to each Trust • Demonstrate in-depth clinical positioning and product knowledge within key indication areas, in particular, closed-incision wound management ABOUT YOU: • You will have a proven track record within a Surgical Sales Market (ideally orthopeadics) – minimum 3 years with demonstrable success and relevant achievement • NHS Clinical as well as Technical Sales background working within an Acute setting, ideally within Surgical/NPWT environment • Evidence/experience of influencing key decision makers and developing relationships with a wide variety of Consultant surgeons and clinicians in order to drive change • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets • Highly competent at Account Planning and can demonstrate strong prioritisation skills, delivering business objectives and managing multiple projects at a given time. • Ability to demonstrate good understanding of NHS developments, health reforms, NHS Operating plan, NHS targets, competitor and own product knowledge • Experience working with a wide range of specialist and culturally diverse people, influencing them to get things done including cross-functional team working and principles of organisational networking • A winning spirit and competitive mindset is essential • A hunter mentality with an entrepreneurial focus and drive • Knowledge and understanding of IT to include windows, spreadsheets, power point, and CRM with excellent administration adhering to all deadlines and including ad hoc requirements • English language is mothertongue or at a high proficiency level both written & spoken • You live within territory: North East, Yorkshire & East Midlands WHAT YOU´LL GET: • remote role based in the UK with a company car • competitive salary & bonus • exceptional benefits • training & delevopment • collaborative & supportive culture
