In this role, you will:
IT Support look after our internal users (desktop support) and alongside suppliers support our enterprise IT systems to support our customers. This will include user provisioning, hands on end-point management including asset management, management of upgrades and device hardening. IT support work with leaders across IT in information security, operational resilience, engineering and IT operations to support the implementation of the IT strategies and policies.
Key areas of responsibility:
* Provide first and second-line support to internal users, managing incidents and service requests through the IT service desk.
* Manage end-user device provisioning, deployment, and lifecycle management, including asset tracking and device hardening.
* Support and administer enterprise tools such as Microsoft Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Active Directory, including SSO and access controls.
* Maintain and monitor IT security tools including anti-virus, patch management, and data loss prevention solutions, working in collaboration with information security teams.
* Configure and maintain network infrastructure including Wi-Fi access points, VPNs, and firewalls in accordance with security policies.
* Assist with the administration and optimisation of document management systems and provide guidance to users on best practices.
* Document IT processes and maintain an up-to-date asset register, contributing to IT policy updates and procedural changes.
* Support IT procurement including hardware (laptops, printers, networking equipment) and software licensing, ensuring compliance with budget and vendor agreements.
* Perform periodic access control checks and manage system administration requests in line with governance and auditing requirements.
A bit about you:
* Previous experience in a technical IT support or service desk role, ideally within a professional environment.
* Solid understanding of IT fundamentals including networking, security, endpoint management, and cloud-based infrastructure (e.g. Azure, AWS).
* Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft environments including Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Active Directory.
* Familiarity with endpoint protection, patch management tools, and device monitoring.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear, user-friendly guidance to non-technical colleagues.
* A customer-first mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
* Strong documentation and organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Technical qualifications (e.g. CompTIA, Microsoft certifications) or equivalent practical experience highly desirable.
