We are currently seeking a Pool Worker - Support Worker to play a vital role in our Criminal Justice Service in Brent.
What Will You Be Doing?
In this impactful role, you will:
* Empower service users to build independence and engage confidently with community professionals, including mental health teams, social workers, and housing providers.
* Support continuous assessments of service users' needs and advocate for appropriate support levels.
* Guide individuals through transitions on their journey toward independence.
* Co-produce group activities and peer support networks, encouraging participation in community initiatives.
* Assist users in managing their health, tenancy, and financial responsibilities.
* Monitor the health, wellbeing, and safety of users, responding promptly to concerns.
* Contribute to daily service operations and complete administrative tasks efficiently and confidentially.
What Do You Need to Bring?
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the core skills required for this role and align with our values and mission. Key Qualifications:
* Experience working with individuals facing mental health challenges and/or dual diagnosis, in either paid or voluntary roles.
* Ability to quickly learn, absorb information, and make sound decisions.
* Confidence in managing challenging behaviors using de-escalation techniques.
* A solution-focused mindset and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
* A calm, non-judgmental, and anti-discriminatory attitude, especially in high-pressure environments.
* Flexibility to work unsociable hours, including early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekends.
* A solid understanding of safeguarding and the ability to respond appropriately to related concerns.
