$200m investment into this Cambridge-based Med Tech organisation has launched them into their next phase of growth, which includes entering new lucrative markets and reorganising the finance department. You will be responsible for the financial reporting of the European entities, ensuring controls are in place and reports are produced. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who has qualified from a Big Four practice firm and is looking to gain 4 years of experience in 18 months.

As Senior Financial Accountant, you will:
1. Manage the month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
2. Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, or local GAAP.
3. Perform balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, journal entries, prepayments, and accruals.
4. Ensure proper intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and eliminations.
5. Maintain accurate general ledger records for multiple legal entities.
6. Support the consolidation of financial statements, collaborating with the tax and business finance teams.
7. Prepare statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with local regulations.
8. Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and company policies.
9. Act as the primary finance contact for external audits, providing documentation and explanations.
10. Support the finance team in preparing tax-related financial disclosures.
This role requires a technically strong ACA/ACCA qualified accountant, likely having gained their qualification with a Big Four firm. Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities are essential.
Salary: £60,000 to £65,000 plus benefits.
