Role Overview Skips R Us is seeking a reliable and organised Shipping Clerk to manage and operate the companys weighbridge and transport coordination functions. This role supports all three divisions of the business: Skip Hire, Recycled Aggregate Production, and Biomass Production from Waste Timber. The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for site visitors while ensuring efficient coordination of vehicle movements, waste logistics, and administrative processes. Key Responsibilities Operate and manage the site weighbridge, ensuring accurate recording of vehicle weights where required Act as the first point of contact for all visitors, including conducting site inductions Coordinate the scheduling of the companys skip vehicle fleet, including delivery and collection of skips and RoRo (Roll-on Roll-off) bins Liaise with customers to arrange bulk waste collections and manage outbound loads from the yard Record and monitor all third-party vehicles entering and exiting the site Complete and manage Transfrontier Shipment (TFS) documentation, including Annex VII forms, ensuring accurate filing and archiving Process customer payments when required Support general site operations and undertake any reasonable tasks as requested by management Candidate Requirements Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal High level of attention to detail and accuracy Positive, proactive can-do attitude Good understanding of health and safety practices Ability to work flexibly, including occasional Saturday shifts Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment Ability to follow direction while contributing positively to a team-oriented culture Previous experience in a weighbridge, logistics, transport, or waste management environment Desirable (but not essential) Knowledge of waste transfer documentation and compliance requirements Experience with Waste Logics or similar waste management software.
