Overview
The EMEA Energy and Water team is looking for a Water Infrastructure Manager to support scaling and growth across our Data Centre network. If you like to drive the development, implementation and construction of new water infrastructure, your work will help deliver large‑scale water projects that our infrastructure needs to renewably and strategically operate. This role is available in Madrid, Zaragoza, London, Frankfurt, and Dublin.

Key Job Responsibilities
* Own the end‑to‑end delivery of off‑site water infrastructure solutions, from scoping to physical delivery.
* Manage 3rd‑party design consultants, develop and document requirements, budgets, business cases, permitting and project schedules.
* Prepare project contracts, milestone payments and schedules; take the contract through legal reviews and procurement pathways.
* Demonstrate strong project management, technical competency in design and programmatic leadership through legal and procurement to drive results.
* Multitask and reprioritize, effectively leading deliveries based on ever‑changing business needs.
* Build and maintain an overall delivery program and project budget, submit Capital Allocation Requests to senior leadership to secure finance for project delivery.
* Prepare investment need/business case papers to secure internal funding for water reinforcement projects, ensuring water supply and discharges.
A Day in the Life
* Liaise with a wide range of regulators and external stakeholders (water utilities, environmental agencies, health department, construction contractors, etc.).
* Liaise with a wide range of internal stakeholders (Design Engineering, Environmental, Legal, Procurement, Construction, Real Estate, etc.).
* Leverage project management tools and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle.
* Regularly report to senior leadership on the status of key project metrics versus commitment of your projects.
* Ensure construction standards are followed and national construction regulations are complied with.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
* Further education favorable.
* 10+ years’ demonstrable experience delivering water design infrastructure and engineering solutions for capital‑intensive projects across diversified industries.
* Language fluency in French, German, Spanish highly regarded; Business English mandatory.
* 5+ years managing end‑to‑end project scope, business case and infrastructure requirements, developing contract and drafting documentation, request for proposals, and capital requests.
* 3+ years of analytical and commercial skill set to review utility tariffs, water projects and contracts.
Preferred Qualifications
* 7+ years of direct experience with the construction, operation or maintenance of water infrastructure across different global regions.
* Advanced degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental or Economics.
* Experience with fast‑track design/build projects and/or multiple significant upgrade projects and ability to work with multiple stakeholders with varied requirements.
* Analytical mindset able to identify gaps in requirements during project development, predict performance and provide recommendations on short notice with limited information.
* Business experience in Europe, LATAM and/or Middle East.
* 5+ demonstrated years in program management, risk mitigation and reporting status reviews to management and internal customers.
