An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Integrated Breast Services at the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust for a Breast Specialist Radiologist. The duties of this role will be based at the Park Centre for Breast Care.
The role will be a full time 10PA post with the opportunity to cover all aspects of the breast screening and breast imaging services. This includes breast screening reporting, screening assessment clinics, one stop 2WW rule clinics, ultrasound and interventional lists and depending on experience MRI and cross-sectional reporting.
The successful candidate will join a busy Integrated Breast Service, providing breast screening to a population of over 125,000 women, receiving over 8,000 GP referrals and treating around 1000 new breast cancers.
Digital equipment including tomosynthesis and VAB/E are available at Brighton.

The clinical duties of the post will include the following:
1. Support breast screening reporting, screening assessment clinics and arbitration sessions
2. Support MDM
3. Support one stop symptomatic clinics
4. Support ultrasound and interventional procedures, including VAB/E and localisation procedures
5. Report breast MRIs / cross sectional imaging
6. Support interval cancer and previously assessed cancer reviews

Experience / Qualifications
Essential criteria
7. Basic medical degree
8. Postgraduate qualification FRCR or its recognised equivalent
9. Full registration and a licence to practice with the General Medical Council
10. Completed a minimum of 12 years medical/dental work (either continuous period or in aggregate) since obtaining a primary medical/dental qualification, of which a minimum of six years should have been in a relevant specialty in the Specialty Doctor and/or closed SAS grades. Equivalent years’ experience in a relevant specialty from other medical grades including from overseas will also be accepted
