Head Veterinary Nurse – Slough, Berkshire, UK
Are you a confident and experienced RVN ready to step into a leadership role in Slough, Berkshire? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established small animal practice with a supportive team, excellent facilities, and strong clinical standards.
The Role
* Full-time permanent position (4-day week)
* 1 in 6 weekends at a nearby 24-hour hospital
* Lead and support a dedicated nursing team
* Deliver high-quality patient and client care
* Run nurse-led clinics and Schedule 3 procedures
* Assist with surgeries, consultations, and patient monitoring
* Oversee admissions, discharges, and clinical standards

* Well-equipped with consult rooms, nurse clinic space, and x-ray
* Access to advanced diagnostics including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and more
* Supported by a nearby 24-hour hospital for OOH care
Requirements
* RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse
* Previous experience in a senior or leadership role (or ready to step up)
* Strong clinical skills and team leadership ability
* Passion for high standards of patient and client care
