Protocol Education are working with a primary school in Tynemouth who are looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a Year 3 class, starting immediately and continuing until the end of the summer term.
This is a full-time, long-term role within a supportive KS2 team, ideal for an experienced HLTA who is confident leading learning and supporting pupils to make progress.

The Role
As an HLTA, you will be supporting learning across the Year 3 classroom and delivering pre-planned lessons when required. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider staff team to ensure pupils remain engaged, supported, and making consistent progress.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting teaching and learning across Year 3
* Delivering interventions and small group support
* Leading the class during planned teacher release time (PPA cover)
* Supporting behaviour and classroom routines
* Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* HLTA qualification (or relevant experience working at HLTA level)
* Experience supporting KS2 pupils, ideally Year 3
* Confidence delivering pre-planned lessons
* Strong communication skills and a calm approach
* A professional, reliable attitude and strong classroom presence

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
