Head of Hospitality & Events Manager

Company Description
Newly created position to head up the hospitality, events & hotel on site at one of our leading nationwide contracts. Based in Gogarburn, this role will oversee all levels of events and hospitality across the estate, managing a team of around 15 within a larger team of 40 employees. The role is mainly Monday to Friday but spread across daytime and evening shifts depending on functions and events, with occasional weekend work when required. Beautiful location and setting.
Responsibilities
* Lead, inspire, collaborate and support your direct reports to deliver consistently exceptional standards
* Build positive, credible and collaborative relationships & communication methods with clients and other key stakeholders in the business
* Continuously develop your team through mentoring, training, recognition, and empowerment
* Create a culture of excellence, striving to push the boundaries of brilliance through natural caring service, obsessive food standards and innovation
* Achieve business‑critical KPIs including Health and Safety, Sustainability, Financial and Governance
Qualifications
* Previous experience within high end hospitality & events
* Background in well known 4 or 5 star hotels
* General management level experience in event catering or hospitality‑led contract catering
* Passion for food and customer service
* Experience managing, training, and supporting a team
* Financially astute, analytical and able to create and maintain budgets and drive commercial performance
* Excellent delegation and influencing skills
* Ability to prioritise multiple projects in a fast‑paced, multi‑faced, creative environment and work well under pressure
* Meticulous organisational abilities; high attention to detail
* Concise and effective verbal and written communication
* Solution‑oriented perspective to adapt to challenges and opportunities
* Excellent strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills
