Altum Consulting are working with a leading media business to recruit an RTR Assistant Accountant based in Salford, Manchester. This role will offers hybrid working, with 3 days in the office, and 2 days working from home. RTR Assistant Accountant role: Support accurate and timely delivery of general ledger account reconciliations Assist with revenue, cost of sales, and related balance sheet postings Prepare balance sheet reconciliations across business areas and legal entities Support channels stock reconciliations and investigate aged balances Use the reconciliation tool and help transition reconciliations off Excel Assist in audit preparations as part of the annual calendar Perform daily, monthly, and year-end accounting tasks Participate in usability testing for system updates and process improvements Work collaboratively with the wider Finance Operations team to resolve discrepancies Help maintain process documentation and ensure adherence to SOPs Contribute to achieving performance KPIs and service level targets Support automation and finance transformation initiatives Ensure compliance with internal controls and relevant accounting standards Prioritise workload effectively and take ownership of your personal development As an RTR Assistant Accountant you'll be/have: Studying towards a professional Accounting Qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) Experience in a RTR team, ideally within a large organisation Good understanding of general ledger processes and financial controls Familiarity with reconciliation tools is a plus Detail-oriented, organised, and proactive Strong communication skills and willingness to learn For further information on this new role please contact Aliza Qureshi on the attached details.
