About the role

This position reports directly to the Spare Parts Team Lead at Tritium and is based in Coventry, UK.

The Returns Specialist is responsible for proactively ensuring new parts are validated as per the approved process between Tritium and parts suppliers.

The role will also manage the return of all parts from the field—including from customers, service agents, and internal teams. Responsibilities include managing returned parts, determining whether they are repaired, sent back to suppliers, or scrapped, and ensuring at least 80% of warranty parts are returned through agreed arrangements with key customers.

Additionally, the role will resolve supplier-related issues for parts failing in the field during the warranty period.

1. Organise and sort returned parts from the field.
2. Raise Non-conformances as part of continuous improvement processes.
3. Perform quality inspections when required.
4. Support management in implementing the Quality Management System and achieving ISO9001-2015, ISO14001, TS16949 standards.
5. Maintain awareness of Tritium WHS policies and procedures.
6. Adhere to WHS policies, report violations, incidents, or near misses.
7. Participate in production and quality meetings.
8. Develop and uphold the company's reputation through prompt action.
9. Support other business areas as needed.
10. Manage defect landscape and quality of supplied parts, raising NCRs and driving RCA resolutions.
11. Utilise business tools such as NetSuite, Jira, and engineering change management systems.
12. Develop quality reports, dashboards, and present findings in meetings.
13. Lead and participate in project or quality meetings.
14. Assist supply chain and suppliers in developing quality processes.
15. Work with internal departments on quarantined and returned parts, focusing on supplier actions and quality improvements.
16. Proactively update and develop quality processes to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.

About you

* BSc/BA in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (preferably Mechatronics)
* Experience in Quality Engineering, especially Supplier Quality (SQE)
* Effective in building relationships with production, suppliers, and field engineers
* Strong stakeholder management and strategic influence skills
* High energy and successful project delivery capabilities
* Analytical problem-solving skills
* Cross-functional people coordination skills
