Jung & Co Solicitors was established in January 1998 and continues to be a thriving high street practice in Southall, Middlesex with a team of about 10. We have a second office in the City of London.
The main areas of law covered by the practice consist of Crime, Family, Wills & Probate and Notary Services. With the growth in the business a vacancy has now arisen for a paralegal to work in the crime team.
The Role
Will be based in the Southall office. Reporting to the Senior Partner, the ideal candidate will provide support to the current staff, engaging with police and court, liaison with clients in person, via email, and telephone, attending clients in prison, drafting letters, drafting and submitting legal aid applications, analysing evidence, instructing Counsel, attending Court and instructing experts. There will be admin duties of answering phones, file preparation and some billing.
Ideal candidate
The ideal candidate will have :
* A law degree of equivalent or be admitted to the Solicitors Roll
* A Police station accreditation or willing to become accredited
* Computer literate
* Strong organisational skills
* Good verbal and written skills
* Ability to work under pressure
