Permanent Vacancy – Senior Tax Accountant

East Anglia (onsite in Bury St. Edmunds once a week)

We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable individual to join our Lifetime Planning team, providing expert advice and support to a diverse client base including private individuals, executors, trustees, and attorneys.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare personal tax returns and 60-day CGT returns for residential property disposals
* Advise on income tax, capital gains tax, and stamp duty land tax
* Calculate tax liabilities and advise on payments under self-assessment
* Finalise lifetime tax affairs for deceased individuals
* Prepare estate accounts and handle tax during the administration period
* Draft inheritance tax forms for trusts and tax deduction certificates
* Collaborate with cross-departmental teams, including international property specialists
* Support and mentor junior team members
* Promote trust and tax services internally and externally
About You
* Chartered Accountancy/Tax qualification
* Strong experience in tax and trust accounting, including complex estates and overseas domiciles
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
* Confident working with private clients and legal professionals
