Your Role as a 1:1 Specialist
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you are the bridge between the curriculum and the students unique way of learning.
* Personalised Support: Work 1:1 to implement EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) targets using sensory breaks, visual timetables, and simplified tasks.
* Emotional Coaching: Assist students in developing self:regulation skills and social confidence in a mainstream or resource:base setting.
* Collaborative Reporting: Work closely with the SENCO, parents, and external therapists to track progress and adjust support strategies.
* Inclusion Advocacy: Ensure every student, regardless of their needs, feels safe, valued, and included in school life.
