We have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team in Shipley from March 11th until the end of the Academic Year.

Requirements:
1. Eligibility to work in the UK
2. A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, though a bachelor's degree in education or a related field is preferred. Additional certifications or training in special education or learning support are highly desirable.
3. Prior experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a related educational role is preferred.
4. Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, such as learning disabilities or behavioural challenges, is highly valued.
5. Demonstrated ability to show empathy, understanding, and patience when working with students who require additional support. You should be able to build rapport with students, earning their trust and confidence.
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for collaborating with students, teachers, and parents. You should be able to explain concepts clearly and adapt your communication style to suit different individuals.
Responsibilities:
7. Working closely with students who require additional assistance, you will provide individualised support tailored to their specific needs. This may involve helping with assignments, explaining concepts, or offering extra guidance to ensure comprehension.
8. Collaborating with classroom teachers to develop strategies and resources that facilitate student learning and engagement. You will communicate regularly with teachers to identify areas where support is needed and work together to address those needs effectively.
9. Supporting the teacher in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
10. Regularly assessing and tracking student progress to identify areas of improvement. You will provide feedback to both students and teachers, highlighting strengths and areas for development.
11. Embracing diversity within the classroom and promoting inclusively among all students.
12. Assisting in administrative tasks such as preparing materials, organising resources, and maintaining student records.
