As a Class Teacher, you will play a vital role in enriching the learning experiences of our youngest pupils, who have diverse special educational and learning needs. You will collaborate with our dedicated teaching staff to empower students to gain independence and fully engage in the curriculum and school life. This role will be based at Kirby Moor School.
Your Role and Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
* Support the class team in creating engaging learning opportunities and fostering positive behaviors.
* Monitor and report on pupils' progress, collaborating with other staff to meet their needs.
* Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
* Build positive relationships with students, driving interaction and nurturing positive learning outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* A strong educational background, ideally to degree level.
* Previous successful teaching experience.
* Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting.
* Proficiency in behavior management techniques.
* A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn.

The successful candidate will need to complete an enhanced DBS Check, which will be covered by Kirby Moor School.
