Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Bradford as soon as possible. About the role
As a Teaching Assistant, you''ll work closely with class teachers to support students in their academic, social, and emotional development. You may be working with the whole class, small groups, or providing 1:1 support, depending on the needs of the school.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the teacher in preparing and delivering lessons
* Support pupils with classroom activities and learning tasks
* Provide 1:1 or small group support where needed
* Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
* Support pupils with additional needs (SEND), if required
* Contribute to planning and assessment where appropriate
Requirements
* Experience working with children in a school or educational setting (preferred)
* A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent)
* A positive, proactive, and patient attitude
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
* Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years
* Right to work in the UK
Desirable
* Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEND)
* First Aid training
* Flexibility to work across different year groups
