Owen Mumford is looking to hire a Production Quality Engineer! Could this be your next role?
As the Production Quality Engineer you will play a key part in the engineering team to provide direct engineering support to production in order to improve and sustain products & processes at maximum possible efficiencies and quality levels. The Production Quality Engineer will continue to monitor and improve performance against targeted KPI's whilst investigating and resolve any non-conformance or efficiency issues that may occur.
Key Responsibilities:
Take full ownership of investigating machinery, process, or product performance issues using structured root-cause analysis. Ensure timely implementation of robust, permanent corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Accountable for closing out investigations, NCs, and change controls in a timely manner in line with Quality Systems requirements
Investigate any machinery/process, product performance and quality problems.
Carry out root-cause analysis to identify and implement permanent solutions to maximise efficiency.
To be responsible for the generation and approval of robust documentation and specifications associated with validations [Change control, Validation plans, protocols, FMEAs, reports, gauge R & R studies].
Ensure that validations are completed in line with agreed project plans and documented to the required standard, conforming to Owen Mumford's SOPs and GMP.
To identify and implement the required training needed to support any improvements as well as the introduction of any new products or process.
To ensure complete handover packages are compiled and available within manufacturing to ensure smooth introductions and compliance in production.
To produce monthly reports on metrics, monitoring and trending to identify & justify improvement areas
Working with assigned maintenance engineers to create PPM schedules & assist with maintenance duties.
Fully support Op Ex initiatives, leading and supporting projects within the department.
Support with mentoring Op Ex candidates from the department and wider business
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Experience within plastic injection moulding, automatic assembly in a regulated manufacturing background
First-hand experience in Metrology
NVQ level 3 in a related engineering discipline
HNC in a related engineering subject
Understanding of Lean & Six Sigma principles
Experience with generating technical reports
Process improvement, problem solving & validation experience
Working knowledge of current safety regulations and legislation within a regulated industry
