Senior Quantity Surveyor
Responsible for providing quantity surveying and cost management services for civil and structural engineering projects from inception to completion and handover of projects.
Main Responsibilities
* Responsibility for the cost management element for the delivery of works, including the provision of commercial support to the design and client teams.
* Preparation of bills of quantities and schedules of work for pricing.
* Involvement in tender stage activities such tender reviews and development of procurement plans.
* Preparation of Pre-Tender Estimates.
* Provide accurate values of works undertaken.
* Preparation and monitoring of the submission and approval of design, specification and cost estimates information.
* Attendance at project team meetings, site visits and client consultations.
* Operation of procedures in accordance with the firm's Quality System.
* Project Management / assisting the project management team in project delivery.
Qualification
* Chartered Quantity Surveyor: Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland.
Experience
* A minimum of 5 years post graduation experience.
* Knowledge of and experience in NEC and Public Works contracts. Experience in other forms of contracts desirable.
* Knowledge of Quality Assurance systems and quality management.
* Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
* Beneficial to have project management experience but not essential.
