Senior Support Worker
Location: Saltash, England, United Kingdom
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 16>24 Hour (including Sleep-in) on a one on two off or two on four off basis.
Salary: £14.17 – £14.99 per hour (dependent on experience/qualifications)

Responsibilities
* Lead shifts and deputise for the Registered Manager where required
* Ensure team of Residential Care Workers is up to date with mandatory learning and support their development
* Communicate with the on‑site team and raise awareness of individual care plans and their implementation
* Maintain accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets and files for monitoring and evaluation
* Contribute to team and staff meetings to facilitate communication and staff development
* Provide support and care to the young people within our services
* Encourage preparation to re‑enter education or engage in current schooling
* Travel with young people to and from school or college
* Prepare food at meal times and maintain the home (cleaning, laundry, etc.) for a wonderful environment
* Organise and facilitate social activities
Qualifications
* Full UK driving licence
* Desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent Children & Young Peoples workforce
* 12 months senior experience in a residential setting is highly desirable; applicants at the start of their journey are encouraged to apply
* DBS and reference checks conducted in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice
