As a member of the FCRM Improvements Portfolio team, you will support the Portfolio Management office and sub‑portfolio’s project and programme work, delivering over £150m of improvements in the next three years. The role involves starting up and informing new projects, assuring live projects, supporting project managers, building relationships with the Portfolio Management Office, and improving portfolio management and data practices. This role is appropriate for someone with data analytics and/or project management skills interested in programme/portfolio level experience.
Responsibilities
* Support Portfolio Management office and sub‑portfolio’s project and programme work delivering over £150m of improvements in the next three years
* Start up and inform new projects
* Assure live projects, supporting project managers
* Build relationships with Portfolio Management Office
* Improve and embed portfolio management and data practices
* Respond to incidents in a virtual incident role, providing business continuity during incidents, with additional payment and full training
Qualifications
* Formal project / programme management experience is essential
* Highly numerate with strong data gathering, manipulation and interpretation skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience of Power BI / Tableau (or similar) desirable
* Experience in a project support role in a complex organisation using Agile and waterfall methodologies
* Administrative and organisational skills, supporting regular meetings, agenda and minutes for portfolio governance cycles
* Financial data management and project planning skills desirable
* Ability to build credibility, respect and cooperation throughout the business
* Experience in tackling and automating routine issues with a continuous improvement and problem‑solving mindset
* Capacity to work with uncertainty and find innovative solutions to solve problems
