Brightpoint Community College invites applications for a Student Activities Coordinator who will plan, develop, and manage a comprehensive student activities program that promotes student engagement, community development, educational programming, and student leadership. This position enhances the student experience and supports student success by coordinating events, advising student organizations, and fostering meaningful opportunities for involvement across the College’s service region.
Key responsibilities include:
9. Plan, coordinate, and evaluate a diverse range of student activities, events, and programs that support student engagement and success
10. Develop and maintain an annual student activities calendar and implement targeted marketing strategies to promote participation
11. Manage event logistics including scheduling, staffing, budgeting, and compliance with institutional policies and risk management procedures
12. Supervise student activities staff, including student workers and part time staff, through hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
13. Advise and support student clubs, organizations, and the Student Government Association to promote leadership development and ensure compliance with college policies
14. Assist in the development and oversight of program budgets and maintain accurate records related to programming, participation, and assessment
15. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and campus partners to deliver co-curricular programming and support college wide initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
16. Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
17. Experience planning, coordinating, and implementing events, programs, or student activities
18. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
19. Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate complex activities
20. Ability to work with a diverse student population and foster student engagement and leadership development
21. Ability to work at both campuses and travel within the College’s service region
22. Successful completion and passing of a background check.
