Job Title: Post 16 Teaching Assistant (TA)

Salary: £84 - £108 per day (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about empowering young adults with special educational needs to thrive beyond the classroom? GSL Education are currently seeking a Post 16 Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and inclusive educational setting in Ashington.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for learners across a range of subjects and activities.
Assist students with special educational needs (SEN) and additional learning needs.
Help implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Support the delivery of practical, vocational, and enterprise-based learning
Promote independence, confidence, and self-esteem in students.
Encourage engagement, positive behaviour, and participation.
Liaise effectively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals.
Job Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
Experience or understanding of supporting students with SEN is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude.
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE, Level 2/3 TA or equivalent) are advantageous.
Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
