Description Fixed Term – 11 Hours Per Week / 39 Weeks Per Year NJC Grade 1 (Cornwall) – £13.00 – £13.79 per hour Required as soon as possible The Learning Academy Partnership has an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join our School Trust, based in Marhamchurch C of E Academy. Marhamchurch, near Bude, is a beautiful, rural village just off the Atlantic Highway overlooking the stunning Cornish coastline and just a 30-minute drive from Launceston. There is a real sense of community where we aim to ensure that all our children can flourish in all they do. At Marhamchurch, we pride ourselves on providing every child with a rich and engaging curriculum grounded in our Christian values. Our vision is: ‘Life in all its fullness’ Working in close partnership with our families, we believe that every child should be taught by expert, high quality teachers in an inspirational school that always puts children first. At Marhamchurch, we believe that education is about more than lessons in a classroom - it’s about sparking curiosity, building confidence, and giving every child the best possible start in life. We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join us who is inspired by our mission and wants to be part of a Trust where children are at the heart of everything we do. You will play a vital role in supporting and nurturing our children, including those with Special Educational Needs, helping to remove barriers to learning so every child can flourish. This role will include working closely on a one-to-one basis with a child, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs. Our ideal candidate will be committed to making a profound difference, particularly for our most disadvantaged children, empowering them with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and resilience they need to thrive. Experience with autism, speech and language development, and knowledge of phonics would also be an advantage, but not essential. Our Trust is dedicated to building an authentic workforce, so if you are excited about this role but your past experience looks a little different to what we’ve identified, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may just be the perfect candidate! We are proud that we are a single organisation with a shared responsibility for all children, and one where you will feel professionally nourished through our extensive development practice and strong wellness offer. Our School Trust is underpinned by our four core beliefs; we are stronger together, a sense of belonging; removing barriers and realising the possible. This means that by working collectively, we can achieve our absolute best to ensure that children, especially the most vulnerable, can flourish. Our ethos is one of working together to Empower, Excel, Together. What we can offer you: Make a real difference – every day you’ll have the chance to make a profound difference to children’s lives. Be part of something bigger – you will be part of a values-led School Trust where we collaborate, innovate, and succeed together. We invest in you – our People Strategy ensures you’re nurtured, supported, and given opportunities to develop so you can provide the very best for our children. Grow your expertise – access to our high-quality professional development, career pathways, and bespoke CPD; we’re committed to your personal and professional growth. A genuine commitment to life balance – we prioritise colleague wellness and actively support a healthy, sustainable approach to work. Comprehensive wellbeing support – access to a confidential, 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme whenever you need it. Flexibility that fits life – our family-friendly policies help you balance work with what matters most. Perks and savings – from Cycle to Work and Tech schemes, to lifestyle discounts and benefits. A pension you can count on – generous Local Government Pension Scheme. We want to support you in deciding if we are a School Trust that you would like to join. We recommend that you arrange a visit or virtual call so that you can better understand if we are an organisation which excites you and can support you to flourish. Please contact Deidre Petersen – Telephone 01288 361445 or email marhamchurch@lapsw.org – to arrange an appointment.
