Our graduate development scheme provides an opportunity to join our ESH&Q pathway, where you will develop skills, work with remarkable people, in unique facilities, on extraordinary products.
How the programme accelerates your career:
The first 3 months focus on immersing yourself in the ESH&Q function to understand the business and the function deeply. Afterward, you will specialize in one of the following disciplines:
* Environment (Closed Monday 7th October)
* Nuclear Safety Case
* Quality

Within each discipline, you will undertake various placements to develop core technical skills and contribute to keeping the UK safe and secure.
As part of our Graduate Development community, you'll be involved in activities related to nuclear warheads, threat reduction, manufacturing solutions, or our infrastructure projects that support new product creation.
Due to the sensitive nature of our work, further technical details are classified. However, you will be involved in remarkably interesting projects as part of our expert team!
Placements into real projects will be central to your development, ensuring you gain technical expertise and a comprehensive understanding of our operations. The placements are flexible to allow focus on specific technical or business areas.
All graduates will receive core training in leadership, business, and soft skills, with support to pursue professional registration.
* You are a recent graduate or will graduate by September 2025.
* You will graduate with a minimum of a 2:2 in your degree, typically in science or engineering subjects such as:
* Environment: Environmental Science, Management, Geography, Geology
* Nuclear Safety: Science or Engineering, e.g., Nuclear Engineering, Materials, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related fields with safety interest
* Quality: Science or Engineering degrees with an interest in quality
* You must be able to join in September 2025. Applications are on a rolling basis until positions are filled.
* Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance.
* You are a UK national who has not lived overseas in the last 10 years.
