Key Responsibilities
* Act as the focal point of Safety and Wellbeing expertise for projects/outages to ensure compliance with current and future legal requirements.
* Provide governance to Site preconstruction information, inductions, Construction Phase Plans (CPP), Health and Safety files ensuring compliance with all applicable legal and industry standards and in particular the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 (CDM).
* Review tenders to ensure that each contractor or supplier has suitable and sufficient Safety, Health, and Environment [SHE] arrangements.
* Monitor the construction works, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure, SHE compliance with the Project CPP.
* Define and undertake accurate internal and external audits, assessments, and inspections to the required standards and timescales, communicating and closing out action points to completion.
* Develop project audit schedule and conduct CDM audit and review, communicating and closeout of action points.
* events are investigated. Lead and assist in investigations, preparing accurate and timely reports, and ensuring appropriate communication and close out of recommendations to prevent reoccurrence and ensure continuous improvement.
* Provide relevant and accurate Safety and Wellbeing advice, information, and guidance to both px and contract personnel. To include direction on company procedure, current and future legislative compliance requirements, changes, and amendments.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBSOH Construction Management
* Exposure and awareness of permit to work and lock out tag out systemsli>
* Strong experience working as a health and safety advisor/ officer/ consultant in a heavy industry environment
* Experience in successfully working in and contributing to a workplace team environment
