Salary: £50,008 to £56,908 per annum (pro rata), band 7

Overview
The Mindworks Hub Clinical Practitioner will be a senior member of a multidisciplinary specialist team delivering assessment and treatment services to children and young people (CYP) aged 5‑18 years and CYP transitioning to adult services who have mental health, emotional and behavioural difficulties. The role supports the implementation of the THRIVE Framework across the Mindworks CYPS service network in North Surrey.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and manage a caseload of CYP, undertaking holistic assessments including risk analysis and developing individual care plans;
* Provide short‑term and targeted therapeutic interventions in clinic or community settings, either individually or in complex cases in collaboration with other team members;
* Act as the lead professional following initial assessment, coordinating multidisciplinary team (MDT) input and liaising with Social Care, Education and other agencies to optimise outcomes for CYP;
* Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in line with Trust policies and professional standards, including statistical reporting of activities;
* Offer support for students on placement and contribute to the overall quality of services delivered by the Care Team;
* Engage in continuous professional development, supervision and training of junior staff, ensuring high standards of care and adherence to national and local guidelines;
* Maintain basic IT and data entry skills to manage clinical information within the Trust database.
Qualifications
* Degree in Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Social Work;
* Current registration with NMC, SWE or HCPC;
* Post‑graduate qualification in child development, attachment or family functioning (or equivalent experience).
Desirable
* Post‑graduate qualification to degree level;
* Relevant experience in supervision, training, and complex assessment of CYP with mental and physical health issues.
Experience
* Demonstrated experience working with CYP across diverse mental health challenges;
* Expertise in supervising and supporting the growth of other staff;
* Proven ability to deliver training and educational programs on mental health and complex clinical topics;
* Strong capacity for complex assessment and innovative problem‑solving within multidisciplinary settings;
* Awareness of national agendas for the development and growth of CYPS.
Additional Requirements
* Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the role;
* UK professional registration must be current;
* The role requires a Disclosure and Barring Service Check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975;
* Will travel within the Trust’s service area as required.
