Main duties of the job
As Band 7 Team Leader in the NRS in Barnsley covering the Intermediate Care & Long Term Condition pathways, you will:
* Take responsibility of leading a team of therapists & therapy assistant/support workers, reporting back to the service manager.
* Support the team with caseload meetings & caseload management whilst ensuring that patient flow is maintained across the neighbourhood.
* Provide support with appraisals, mentorship & management supervision for staff, facilitating a culture of learning/reflective practice.
* Hold a clinical caseload within the Neighbourhood team & support with clinical cases. There will be an expectation that the successful applicant would hold a caseload in one of the pathways but have the flexibility to work across both as required.
* Work with the clinical lead, clinical specialists & service managers in planning, co-ordinating, delivering & evaluating the service.
* Participate in clinical governance including active involvement in audit.

Person Specification
Personal Attributes
* A current driving licence and access to a car during the working day is essential (reasonable adjustments will be considered for any applicants who are unable to drive due to a disability).
* Leadership skills.
* Good timekeeper.
* Maintain a high degree of professionalism at all times.
* Ability to work flexibly including weekend, evening and Bank Holiday working.
Qualifications
* Registered Allied Health Professional.
* Relevant Teaching Qualification or willing to undertake within an agreed timeframe.
* Postgraduate study to Masters Level or equivalent in a field related to Therapy.
* Current HCPC Registration.
Experience
* Experience at senior level and ability to demonstrate development of advanced management skills.
* Experience of working with individuals with complex health needs and behaviours that challenge.
* Experience of managing and assessing risk whilst working independently.
