SPS Envirowall is a specialist merchant company currently offering a fantastic opportunity for a Sales & Administration Assistant to join our team in Newcastle-under-Lyme. The successful candidate will report to the Site Supervisor and will be responsible for customer interactions both in person and over the phone, along with general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, and ensuring timely dispatch of orders.
General Role Responsibilities
* Health and safety compliance
* Maintaining high customer service levels
* Managing trading accounts by number and value
* Driving sales generation and margin growth
* Ensuring trade counter and sales process compliance
* Providing internal and external customer service
* Supporting personal, team growth, and development
* Assisting in warehouse picking & packing
Your Key Tasks Will Be
* Supporting warehouse operations including picking and packing
* Providing face-to-face customer service
* Handling sales, refunds, credits, and account compliance
* Answering telephone inquiries
* Making sales calls and upselling
* Maintaining branch filing and ensuring compliance
* Upholding trade counter standards and appearance
* Managing customer calls for collection and pre/post-delivery
* Placing purchase orders and providing PODs as required
* Following up on sales activity plans and quotes
* Handling cash, banking, and other administrative duties
* Supporting branch emails and communications
* Assisting the Warehouse team leader with stock accuracy
* Keeping delivery boards and planners up to date
* Maintaining presentation and condition of customer kitchen/serving area
* Managing 52-week planner responsibilities
* Performing any other reasonable tasks as directed by line management
The Right Candidate Will Have
* FLT Licence (preferable)
* Sage experience (preferable)
* Excellent administrative skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
* Strong customer focus, both internal and external
* Diplomatic handling of customer queries and complaints
* Reliability and commitment
* Confidence and articulation in communication, both face-to-face and over the phone
This position is ideally suited for someone with previous experience in business administration, good GCSE or A-level results, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
