Job Description
The Procurement Manager will work under the Senior Procurement Manager who reports to the Director of Procurement and Property. The role will lead indirect spend projects across the business, influencing key stakeholders and building effective procurement strategies that secure best value and risk mitigation from responsible suppliers.
A look into the role
* Lead procurement on a variety of indirect spend projects and influence stakeholders to define new and effective procurement strategies.
* Develop and continually improve procurement policies and processes, including third‑party due diligence and risk management.
* Increase the visibility of procurement, identifying opportunities to drive business performance.
* Adapt traditional procurement processes to a more agile, entrepreneurial organisation by working with engaged service line leaders.
* Drive the firm’s ESG strategy to support our commitment to the Science‑Based Targets initiative and our supplier diversity programme.
* Support stakeholders and finance colleagues to meet business objectives within budget.
* Ensure accuracy of procurement data (contracts database, spend data, activity tracker).
Knowing you’re right for us
The minimum criteria you’ll need is extensive experience working in indirect procurement with an ability to translate knowledge of procurement best practice into policies and processes. The following skills are desirable, but not mandatory – we will help you develop where needed:
* A great communicator and relationship builder.
* Commercially astute, proactive and with proven negotiation experience.
* Experience in professional services, partnerships or financial services (preferred).
* Experience of supplier management, third‑party assurance and risk management.
* Experience of ESG & I&D within the supply chain.
* Experience in Digital & IT procurement, ideally software and hardware.
