A leading building services contractor operating within themercial and energy‑focused M&E sector is seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join their Contracts team. The business designs, manufactures and delivers prefabricated and sustainable building services solutions across Northern Ireland, ROI and the UK.
This position supports the delivery of large,plexmercial M&E projects, with particular emphasis on LV installations alongside coordination of DNO and associated HV works.
Your new role
You will be responsible for managing the electrical delivery ofmercial M&E projects, acting as the link between design,mercial and site teams to ensure safe,pliant andmercially controlled project execution.
While the role is primarily focused on LVmercial electrical installations, it also requires experience coordinating DNO connections and HV packages, including transformer interfaces, busbar systems, approvals and energisation activities, working closely with network operators and specialist subcontractors. This is a largely office‑based role with regular local site attendance (typically 1–2 days per week), supporting a major Belfast‑based project.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and develop electrical project delivery teams
2. Act as the senior electrical contact for clients and stakeholders
3. Coordinate DNO liaison, technical submissions, programmes and approvals
4. Oversee LV scopes including containment, lighting, power, controls and BMS interfaces
5. Manage HV‑related packages in conjunction with specialists (transformers, busbars, connections)
6. Confirm scopes, drawings, specifications and procurement prior to site activities
7. Ensure projects are adequately resourced and aligned with programme milestones
8. Appoint, manage and coordinate electrical and HV subcontractors (PO / JCT / NEC)
9. Monitor costs, valuations, variations and change control
10. Chair project progress and internal review meetings
11. Oversee testing,missioning, energisation and handover documentation
12. Maintain high standards of electrical safety, quality andpliance
What you'll need to succeed
13. Experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager or Senior Electrical PM
14. Demonstrable experience coordinating DNO and HV elements of projects
15. Experience delivering projects typically valued £3m–£10m
16. Sound understanding of LV systems and HV/LV interfaces
17. Strong leadership, organisation and stakeholder‑management skills
18. Goodmercial awareness and cost‑control capability
19. Proficiency with Microsoft Office
