Are you an experienced pharmacy technician looking to provide leadership for a busy Dispensary department at an acute hospital trust?
We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Pharmacy Outpatient Dispensary Manager at our Ipswich Hospital. Our outpatient dispensary department is located within our main pharmacy department, therefore you will work collaboratively and flexibility with the whole pharmacy team.
Part of your managerial responsibilities will include supervising and providing leadership to those working in the outpatient dispensary including our large number of valuable volunteers who provide a large contribution to the team.
You will be innovative and provide a significant contribution to the dispensary management team, working collaboratively to develop and optimise our dispensary services. This will also involve reaching out and working with service users - patients and multi-disciplinary team.
You will be supported in your professional and personal development, including leadership skills where we offer opportunities for bite size training in line management and in-house leadership courses ran by the trust.
ESNEFT is about to embark on a full site wide implementation of the EPIC electronic patient record which includes electronic prescribing and administration as well as pharmacy stock control system.

Main duties of the job
1. Assume responsibility and management in the day to day organisation and senior leadership of the pharmacy outpatient section of the dispensary and act as lead for the department, liaising closely with the Patient Services Lead Pharmacy Technician and the Inpatient Dispensary Manager.
2. Responsible for providing a robust pharmacy service to Trust Outpatients and virtual clinics held across Ipswich Hospital.
3. Responsible for providing supervision and training to staff working with the dispensaries.
4. Assist the department in providing a comprehensive and efficient pharmacy service to patients and other departments.
5. Develop the Pharmacy outpatient service and support new business opportunities for the Trust.
6. Support other clinical colleagues within the department as the holistic service requires

13. Registered pharmacy technician with the GPhC
14. BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Services or equivalent

16. NVQ qualification in supervisory management or equivalent
17. Patient consultation accreditation
18. Certificate in Medicines Management for Pharmacy Technicians (CMMPT)
19. Medicine reconciliation course
20. Clinical Supervisor
21. Pods & Transcriptions (MM) or equivalent
22. Good clinical practice training
