Role Profile
Sole Legal Counsel role with a leading technology company.
* You will be a confident and commercially minded legal professional, responsible for providing in-house legal support across the business.
* Working closely with the CFO and wider leadership team, they will lead on contract negotiation, legal risk management and compliance.
* This role requires sound judgement, excellent drafting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities
Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, including:
* SaaS agreements.
* Partner and supplier contracts.
* Data processing agreements.
* Provide legal input on regulatory and risk matters (UK, Australia and other territories).
* Support procurement and contract lifecycle processes.
* Advise on IP, licensing, and data privacy (including GDPR compliance).
* Manage external counsel where appropriate (e.g. M&A, litigation, regulatory).
* Maintain standard templates and ensure legal documentation is consistent and up to date.
* Provide internal training and guidance on contract and legal risk matters.
* Liaise with leadership on legal risk management and input into Board reporting as needed.
Key Requirements
* Qualified solicitor (England & Wales, Scotland, or equivalent jurisdiction) ideally with experience in SaaS, tech or software.
* Strong experience in commercial contract negotiation and legal drafting.
* Good knowledge of data protection (UK GDPR).
* Able to operate autonomously and advise senior leadership with confidence.
* Comfortable working in a high-growth, PE-backed environment.
