Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship (formerly Work Permit): Applications from Health & Care Professionals who require a Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome. We will consider all Health & Care Professionals with appropriate experience, including EU and UK trained professionals. Upon appointment, the relevant paperwork will be issued to the successful applicant.
Overview
As an osteopath, you'll use touch, physical manipulation, stretching, and massage to treat patients with conditions such as:
* Back pain
* Injuries
* Joint pain
* Digestive disorders
You may also provide advice on posture and exercise to encourage faster recovery and prevent problems from reoccurring. You'll take a holistic approach, addressing the underlying causes of illnesses rather than just symptoms.
Responsibilities
* Take detailed case histories from new patients, including general health (lifestyle and diet) and specific symptoms
* Assess the patient's posture and check for restrictions or tensions in joints or muscles through active movements
* Perform physical examinations using palpation to identify restricted, weak, or strained areas
* Make a working diagnosis and plan treatment in partnership with the patient
* Provide treatments such as soft tissue techniques, gentle release techniques, and cranial osteopathy
* Offer lifestyle and dietary recommendations on posture, eating, exercise, and relaxation
* Refer patients to GPs or specialists if necessary
* Maintain accurate patient records
* Demonstrate good communication and coordination skills
* Show empathy and work sensitively with a range of patients
* Apply observational skills, logical thinking, and problem-solving for effective diagnosis
* Exhibit initiative, independence, and business awareness

Essential Requirements
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to manage a varying workload
* IELTS (7.5 overall with 7.0 in each module) or OET Grade B overall for overseas AHP professionals
* HCPC registration or General Osteopathic Council registration (guidance available if needed)
* Satisfactory DBS disclosure for staff with access to vulnerable adults or children; overseas candidates require an international police check or character reference
