Platform Engineer – Electronic Trading
📍 London | Hybrid (3 days in the office per week)
We’re hiring a Platform Engineer to help build a new electronic trading platform from the ground up, running in a private cloud environment.
This is a hands-on role sitting close to the trading desk, focused on performance, reliability, and scale in a fast-moving front-office setup.
What you’ll be working on
* Building and running a private-cloud platform for a greenfield electronic trading system
* Supporting low-latency on-premises environments, performance-critical workloads
* Working day-to-day with developers and the trading desk to keep systems fast, stable, and observable
Core skills
* OpenShift & Kubernetes
* Strong Linux background
* Performance optimisation in production environments
* Terraform for infrastructure as code
* HashiCorp Vault (or similar secrets management)
* Private cloud infrastructure
Experience that matters
* Background in electronic trading systems (eFX, Equities, Fixed Income, etc.)
* Experience supporting front-office platforms and working closely with traders
* Comfortable in environments where performance and uptime are non-negotiable
