As a Data Analyst Accounts Payable, you will immerse yourself in the world of transactional finance where your expertise will help shape the future of accounts payable operations. Your day-to-day activities will involve analysing large volumes of financial data to identify patterns and inefficiencies that can be addressed through innovative solutions
Key duties include:
Transform accounts payable data into actionable insights by developing dashboards, reports, and key metrics such as days payable outstanding, invoice cycle time, and payment accuracy.
Collaborate closely with accounts payable, transactional shared services, and wider finance teams to resolve discrepancies and enhance workflow efficiency through open communication and teamwork.
Support the month-end close process by preparing reconciliations and delivering timely reporting that ensures accuracy and transparency.
Identify duplicate payments, vendor issues, and compliance exceptions early on to prevent potential problems and maintain robust financial controls.
Engage actively in automation and optimisation initiatives aimed at streamlining processes and improving overall operational effectiveness.
Maintain up-to-date vendor master data that is always audit-ready, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
To excel as a Data Analyst Accounts Payable, you will bring substantial experience gained from roles involving ERP systems within finance or accounting environments.
You should alos have experience in the following areas:
Demonstrate experience using an ERP system within a financial or accounting context is essential for success in this position.
Transactional finance experience ideally in accounts payable/purchase ledger
Power BI, advamced excel and experience in analysing data sets
A background working within fast-paced or high-volume transactional environments will enable you to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Advanced Excel skills are necessary for handling complex spreadsheets and performing detailed analyses with confidence.
Exceptional organisational abilities paired with keen attention to detail ensure accuracy across all tasks undertaken.
