About the Role:
We are seeking dedicated and professional Accuracy Checking Technicians (ACTs) to join our team in the West Midlands. This role offers a structured shift pattern and is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.
Shift Pattern:
* Hours: 09:00 – 21:00 (12-hour shifts)
* Schedule: 4 days on / 4 days off rotation
* Includes: Weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately check and verify dispensed prescriptions in line with SOPs and legal standards
* Ensure safe, timely preparation and dispatch of medications
* Maintain accurate patient records (PMR) and uphold data protection standards
* Identify and escalate medication-related issues to the Responsible Pharmacist
* Support stock management, including ordering, receiving, and regular checks
* Ensure proper storage of medicines and maintain a clean, safe work environment
* Handle returns and maintain logs
* Coordinate timely communication with GPs and patients
* Organise batch sheets, monitoring expiry dates of treatments
Requirements:
* GPhC registration as an Accuracy Checking Technician
* Previous experience in a community pharmacy or similar setting preferred
* High attention to detail and a strong commitment to patient safety
* Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as part of the shift rota
